Corrections
Accuracy is non-negotiable. When we publish something wrong, we fix it visibly, with a timestamp, on the same article page under "What changed".
How to report a correction
Email corrections@statesidedaily.com with:
- The article URL.
- The specific passage you believe is inaccurate.
- A reliable source that supports the correct version.
We review every correction request. You can expect an update within 24 hours.
What counts as a correction
- Factual correction: a named fact in the story is wrong (date, name, number, quote attribution).
- Clarification: the story is factually correct but gave a misleading impression.
- Update: a developing story gets new verified information.
Typos and grammar fixes are made silently. Anything that changes meaning, sourcing, or a specific claim is logged.
What we don't do
- We do not remove stories to make errors disappear. We correct in place.
- We do not rewrite history: the original version remains in our version history for accountability.
