Richard Simmons disapproves of Pauly Shore’s casting in an upcoming biopic about his life, and Pauly Shore cry and feeling quite upset about it.

Shore mentioned that he spent the entire night in tears after reading Simmons’ latest disapproving tweet. In a detailed Instagram post posted late on Thursday, Shore proposed delivering a bowl of comforting matzo ball soup and a pastrami sandwich with dark mustard from Canters to Simmons’ residence as part of the pitch for the upcoming film by writer Jordan Allen-Dutton.

Shore, aged 56, posted an extensive Instagram reply to Simmons’ most recent message regarding the film on Thursday, April 25th.

“I just read that a man that I don’t know is writing my bio pic starring Pauly Shore,” Simmons posted earlier this week. “I do not approve this movie. I am in talks with major studios to create my own biopic with some help. Wait for this movie.”

The biographical film about Simmons by Shore, in which the fitness celebrity is not participating, is currently being developed by The Wolper Organization, a Warner Bros. subsidiary, and written by Jordan Allen-Dutton.

“I know you, Richard. We used to hang out back in the day,” Shore wrote. “I’d always see you at The Comedy Store. You’re my old buddy. Richard, you’re going to love our movie. We’re going to make the most beautiful cinematic masterpiece that’s going to honor you in a way that you’ll drop to your knees and cry with joy and happiness.”

Shore was cast as Simmons in the movie in January. By September, memes comparing Pauly and Richard’s looks were going viral. Shore used Facebook to share that he had contacted Simmons regarding playing him in a film.

Soon after creating the social media post, Shore provided People with a statement explaining his opinion on how a Richard Simmons biopic could bring America together.

“He helped so many people. If you read people talking about him, they’d always be like, ‘I was 400 pounds and Richard Simmons saved my life!’ He was all about positivity and helping people. And there’s so much angst and divisiveness in the world, so I think a dose of that positivity is what people need,” he told the outlet at the time.
