Stateside Daily ("we", "our", "us") operates statesidedaily.com and the Stateside Daily mobile apps. This policy describes what data we collect and how we handle it, with special notice to California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, and Utah residents whose state privacy laws grant additional rights.

We use a small number of essential cookies for functionality, and, with your consent, optional cookies for analytics (Google Analytics 4) and advertising. You can change your cookie preferences at any time via the consent banner or the footer "Cookie preferences" link.

4. Advertising

Stateside Daily displays ads to fund our journalism. Advertising partners (e.g. Google AdSense / Ad Manager) may place cookies to show relevant ads and measure performance. We never sell your data. You can opt out of personalized ads via Google's Ads Settings.

We use AWS (CloudFront + us-east-2) for hosting, Google Analytics 4 for analytics, Google AdSense for advertising, and Sentry for error reporting. These providers are bound by their own privacy policies and by contract to protect your data.

8. Children

Stateside Daily is not directed at children under 13 (COPPA) and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has submitted data, email us and we will delete it.

9. Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be announced on the homepage and in the date stamp above.
