They quickly took a 15-9 lead in the opening 5.5 minutes due to impressive performances on offense and defense. D’Angelo Russell rebounded from his poor three-point shooting on Saturday by making three quick threes, providing crucial support alongside LeBron James and Anthony Davis.
The Lakers played strong defense, hustling around the court from the start. James established the tone by making a remarkable block on Jamal Murray’s attempted dunk.
