The Boston art-punk band Mission Of Burma got started in 1979. With their live shows and their early records, the 1981 EP Signals, Calls And Marches and the 1982 album Vs. , they left an indelible stamp on indie rock history. Mission Of Burma first broke up in 1983 because of frontman Roger Miller's tinnitus.
